The Longboard blends the best of Caribbean cuisine with the longstanding traditions of South Carolina cooking. With an inviting dining room and pleasant staff, residents always feel welcome here. Stop in for their fabulous brunch, or order their crispy calamari to start your dinner. 

Every elegant seaside town needs a delicious seafood dining experience, and Sullivan’s Island is proud to be the home of Sullivan’s Fish Camp. Lovingly prepared with only the freshest ingredients, the Sullivan’s Fish Camp menu is sure to please seafood lovers of all kinds. Try their truffle parmesan fried shrimp. You’ll love it.  

Barbecue, burgers, and excellent beers are on the fabulous Home Team BBQ menu. Home Team’s delicious food is also great for takeout and unique for catered events, perfect for fun group gatherings with friends. We recommend their incredible pulled pork sandwich. The meat is slow-roasted to absolute perfection. 

For eclectic southern fare in an inviting atmosphere, visit The Obstinate Daughter. All of their entrees are incredible, but whatever you order, be sure to save room for their terrific blueberry crisp for dessert. 

A short walk from Sullivan’s Island Beach, Poe’s Tavern, is a perfect spot for a signature cocktail or a gourmet burger. A restaurant full of Edgar Allen Poe themed decor and plenty of great food to go along with it. If you make your way to this local gem, make sure to give the Black Cat burger a try.

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food you can’t go wrong with Mex 1 Coastal Cantina. With fresh squeezed juice for your margarita and locally sourced produce they have made a name for themselves on Sullivan’s Island. Fill up on their Baja Bowl and Bangin’ Shrimp when you stop by.

Things to Do

There’s always something unique to do on Sullivan’s Island, so residents of all ages will find life here to be energizing and entertaining. Locals love Sullivan Island’s exceptional outdoor recreation spaces, including Sullivan’s Island Beach. This serene sanctuary is great for getting a tan but also offers great kayaking, sailing, and fishing spaces. Another great public space that residents love to frequent is Thomson Park. Wake up early, watch the sunrise over the scenic tidal marshes, or spend an afternoon reading with your toes in the sand. Any history buffs in your family? They’ll love going on an exciting and informative tour at Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Park. Visit the site of the first conflict in the American Civil War and witness the transformative battleground’s many preserved artifacts up close.
